New local event (and flyer): Chapel Hill Comics to host signing for the collected Eisner-nominated PRINCELESS, with writer Jeremy Whitley.

The collected Princeless was originally set for the end of April but was delayed due to printing delays, meaning the planned event also had to be delayed. I'm happy to report that, at least sometimes, delays do not necessarily mean cancellations, as Chapel Hill Comics is set to host a signing event for collected Eisner-nominated comic Princeless with writer Jeremy Whitley on Saturday May 26 from 1 to 3 pm:

Pretty much every time I send out the monthly events newsletter, the first thing that happens is that I get e-mails about the events I've missed. While I can update them on the website (search for NEW-NEW to find things added after the e-mails go out), sometimes the events warrant a post of their own -- and this is just such an event.

One of the first things which always happens when I send out the monthly events newsletter is: I immediately learn of several things coming up which I didn't include in the newsletter. For the events, I did go back and add them to the October newsletter -- search for "NEW-NEW".

To quote George Takei, "Oh my!" It's going to be quite a Saturday.
First up is the Sci-Fi Genre 5th anniversary party, with cake -- no lie, there will be cake -- games, fun, and the opening of the all-new local authors section. SFG is opening its shelves (and global shipping) to local authors, and they've been great supporters of Bull Spec since even before their issue #1 interview. This starts at 10a and runs "all day long", though there is a short ceremony at 2p. Still, you won't be staying there all day

Welcome to the July events and announcements newsletter from Bull Spec. Issue #5 still has a month left on newsstand shelves around the Triangle, with issue #6 hopefully arriving in time for the July 30 event at Fullsteam. As usual, it’s going to be close.
